Sonne, Boden und Wasser - das sind die großen Themen im Gaytal Park, dem Umwelt-Informationszentrum in den grünen Hügeln der Eifel. Wie Natur und Mensch zusammengewirkt haben, um die heutige Landschaft des Naturparks zu formen, erfahren Besucher an Modellen, Displays und Multimedia-Terminals. Im Außengelände ist Gelegenheit, Geologie und Wasserkraft "live" zu erleben. Doch eins der größten Exponate ist das Haus selbst. Die Schüler erfahren, wie das Haus Regenwasser einfängt und verwertet, Solarstrom gewinnt, die Sonnenwärme einfängt und mit Windrädern Strom erzeugt.

Sun, soil, water - these are the major topics at Gay Valley Park, the environmental information centre in the green Eifel hills. Visitors experience how nature and humankind have worked together to create the present-day landscape of the nature park by way of models, displays and multimedia terminals. In the grounds outside, patrons have the opportunity to experience geology and water power "live". But one of the biggest exhibits is the house itself - students learn how the house collects and recycles rainwater, obtains solar energy, collects solar heat and generates electricity with windmills.
